Look Good Feel Better - All about the eyes masterclass for a very worthwhile cause.
Back in March when Life was relatively normal, I was invited to a product Launch hosted by Emma Hardie Skincare, who had joined forces with the Charity 'Look Good Feel Better' for the release of their gorgeous appropriately pink packaged product 'Moringa Cleansing Balm' .
While I was there, I got chatting to Michelle...Sorry I mean Julie! I was drawn to Julie because she was the spitting image of Michelle Phiffer and I just had to tell her so! I told her how I'd love to make her up with those gorgeous cheekbones which led us to talking about the LGFB Makeup class that I used to help out on at St.Thomas's hospital unbeknown to me at the time, Julie worked for the LGFB charity.
I loved these classes, and I used to wander down to St Thomas on a Tuesday afternoon after I had finished at ITV on the southbank and spend 2 hours in a class for maybe 10-12 ladies who had all been hit by Cancer. Myself and a couple of other helpers, would show the ladies how to use makeup to help them face the world. It was always light hearted and fun and we would have a giggle when they drew on wonky brows or added too much blush!
We covered everything from how to add eyebrows when you have lost all of your hair & how to make it look like you had eyelashes, to ways of adding colour into your skin to give it some life and vibrancy, helping cover any sallowness from treatments they were having.
It meant a lot to me, to be able to use my skill and knowledge to give something back, to give something to these ladies that would help them leave the house or meet a friend. To help them not feel embarrassed and give them a tiny spring in their step.
Then a few weeks ago, I received an email from Julie and her colleagues at LGFB, asking if I would like to help run some Virtual Makeup Classes throughout October for their 'Feel Better Week campaign' (although it's now going to be a month) and of course I said YES!
They are creating an exciting calendar of virtual events for the week with the aim of raising vital funds and awareness for Look Good Feel Better.
Please read the following and if you can, sign up to a small intimate Virtual class. I have planned them at different times, so that you have a choice & they are £20 per tutorial with all money raised going to this incredible charity.
Thankyou so much

Hi Donna, Team I was wondering if you had more dates coming for this particular make up class planned.
How do I sign up for this tutorial please and do I have to be a patient or is it a fundraiser for lgfb?
Such exciting news Donna – I cant thank you enough for supporting us! Such a generous gesture – I’m sure it’ll be a huge success for us xxx
