Spring your wardrobe into Spring (gently!)
Spring, while not quite in full bloom, is definitely springing (albeit slowly). But there’s hope on the horizon! Next month brings the long awaited promise of al fresco lunches and shopping trips that don’t just involve the weekly food shop.
So, what’s on the spring shopping list now we can start shedding our stay at home loungewear cocoons? After a year of elasticated waists and above average gin consumption, comfort is still key. I’m easing myself in gently and will start by swapping my trusty grey hoodie for some spring knits and my joggers for an easy (no tight waistbands please!) floral midi or dungarees.

Knitwear needn't be boring - add a statement collar, a ruffle here a frill there and BAM: your tired old jumper and jeans/jogger combo feels much more fresh and fun and the cardigan has earned itself a place as one of our wardrobe staples; a perfect warm layer, easy to slip on and off (without messing up your hair).

The Midi dress is a wardrobe staple for good reason - minimum effort required in the tan/removal of body hair department and it is a one stop shop of an outfit, just throw on and go. Easy to dress up or down, they really are a versatile piece (& work all year round).
Also, now is the perfect time to invest in a spring trench coat. I can’t wait to not be welded to my ‘football manager’ puffer as my husband calls it. The trench will never go out of style.
