What's your favourite day of the week and why?

Saturday . It’s the one day of the week that I feel entitled to do my own thing and ignore the computer . I usually start the day with a long dog walk and coffee with friends and then random ‘pottering’.   Bliss!

How would you describe your style?

When left to my own devices, I dress pretty casually though I do enjoy looking smarter and I’m always thrilled to put myself in the hands of the Loose Women wardrobe team

What job did you want when you were a child?

I wanted to be a barrister striding about a court room with my hands on my lapels and saying ‘I put it to you’ to some poor soul in the witness box

If you could train in a different career now what would it be?

I think I would like to have set up my own business rather than working for anyone else . I am obsessed with frozen yogurt so look out for a FRo-Yo chain opening somewhere near you.

What’s the biggest thing that’s happened AROUND YOU (not to you) ?

Dealing with my parents‘ ill-health in their latter years is definitely the biggest thing . It takes over your life and whilst you don’t resent it, the lack of control is exhausting. You just have to hang on by your fingernails and do what you can.

What’s the biggest thing that’s happened to YOU?(other than having children)

Probably being asked to do ’Strictly’.  Unfortunately, it didn’t go the way I would have hoped but never in a million years did I ever think I would be asked and, however briefly I was there, it was a huge experience.

What’s your least fave day of the week and why?

I am not a huge fan of Mondays …for all the obvious reasons

What's your favorite film or TV program?

My favourite all-time film is The Sound of Music. I fell in love with it when I was so young, I couldn’t even tell you why.

What last made you cry happy tears?

Actually, I walked into the room on a saturday night and Britain’s Got Talent was on the Tv. There was a young guy  from Glasgow called Vinnie who was given the ‘Golden Buzzer’ and he was so overwhelmed and happy , I shed a tear

What’s your biggest mistake/ regret?
